dear self,

The problem with self-help books is this: if you’re not careful, they’ll make you believe there’s always something wrong with you. Like you’re broken. Like you’re behind. Like you’re not enough until you fix yourself.

But growth doesn’t come from shame. It comes from love. It comes from knowing you are already spectacular right where you stand, and also knowing you have room to go even further. Both can be true at the same time.

So when your mind starts whispering, “I can’t get anything right. I’m always wrong,” stop and breathe. Remind yourself: I am already enough. I am already worthy. I am already loved.

And isn’t it beautiful…how much room you still have to grow? How much more you’ll learn, uncover, and become? Not because you’re not good enough today, but because you’re capable of even more tomorrow.

Hold this truth close: you don’t grow because you’re broken. You grow because you’re alive.

Always,
me
