note to self

Welcome back: I don’t want another year of this.  I don’t want another year or making other people’s wildest dreams come true. That’s what happens when you don’t go after yours. You become the background character in someone else’s story. A supporting actor. Being your highest self means letting go of your lowest… You have to break up with her because you two don’t want the same things anymore. Being your highest self is about coming to terms with that. Know that it’s okay to let people in… it doesn’t make you any less lovable or attractive. In fact, people could use a little authenticity in 2024, how refreshing. You’re meant to be loved, by first yourself, and then let others too. It’s okay to believe that. You deserve it. When he tells you he doesn’t see your flaws… don’t be afraid to show them. Being a human being means they’re inevitable, and you’re still lovable. Remember when he told you people are filters? It’s true, you sift through them and the ones who fall through the cracks… sweetie, let them go. You can’t take everyone with you. WWYHSD? What would your highest self do? Don’t stray from hard conversations, lean in. You can do hard things. On the other side of fear is the life you’ve imagined. How incredible of a life you could have if you just.. Lean in. You’ve read enough self-help books to know that no one is coming to save you. How encouraging is that? To know everything you could have ever wanted or needed.. You already have inside of you… you just have to see it, meet her. Give her grace, remember that it will look different everyday… just keep showing up. For you. For the ones you love, and the ones you don’t know… Know that they’re looking up to you. Whether you realize it or not, the same way you look up to someone you admire. Know that you are that for someone. If you’re feeling pressure- that’s good. Pressure makes diamonds. And you are so beautiful, don’t let the world tell you otherwise, don’t let yourself think any different.
